know a place in Australia where frosted fir trees stand regally on a sparkling bed of snow. Their branches are adorned with gold and silver ornaments that float in a shimmering cloud all around the tree. A dazzling display of ribbons, feathers, and snowflakes explode from the tree-tops like a bejeweled and kingly crown. When the reindeer brush up against the glittering trees, the ornaments sway lightly and scatter golden rays across the candlelit forest.
Such a place really does exist in Australia. Even if the December sun melts everything else away, this place still stands frozen in a permanent winter.
This place is the winter woodland located in a spectacular Christmas house in the heart of Queensland. There’s a white Christmas right here!
I had the absolute pleasure of visiting this Christmas house the other day. I had never seen anything like it before. An entire house had been majestically transformed into a frozen, snowy forest.
You step into a twinkling dark woodland lined with flickering candles and fir tree after fir tree after fir tree. Snow-caked fir cones are everywhere you look, and for a moment, you forget you are even in Australia. It was as if the entire place was trapped in its own little snow globe oblivious to the heatwave ravaging outside.
What’s even more amazing than the richly decorated house is the incredible woman who whisked this winter wonderland into existence. She smiles warmly at every ‘ooh’ and ‘aah’ we make as we walk through her extravagant home.
As she gently leads us deeper into her winter woodland, our eyes feast on the endless shimmer of shiny baubles, brilliant wreaths, and the starry yellow lights dancing around every tree.
This talented lady usually has a new theme for her Christmas house every year. One year, it was Pink, another year it was Peacocks. It is an enormous feat to transform the entire house but the end result is just magical.
I’m not exaggerating when I say the entire house. Even the bathroom boasts a grand Christmas tree with luminous pink lights and the happiest angel you ever did see. Every imaginable creation comes together in this wonderland; a nativity, gingerbread men, a doll’s house turned into a Christmas shop, a sleigh, and lots of reindeer!
There’s even an entire room inspired by the peacock with feathers and baubles of royal blue, purple, and emerald green. She had even recycled old CDs and created something beautiful out of the broken pieces of disc... a Christmas tree!
On the kitchen bench was scrumptious Christmas candy to take home, and there was plenty for everyone – naughty and nice!

I hope you enjoy the photos of her enchanting wonderland! She's done a marvelous job, hasn't she?
Thank you so much to this beautiful lady for sharing her breathtaking winter woodland! Nothing says the Christmas spirit quite like this lady opening her doors and heart to share the joys of the merry season with all.
Happy Christmas!
