Kind words don't cost much

I
f you look at someone and think nice comments in your head, like ‘that outfit looks really nice’ or ‘her smile is really beautiful’, then why don’t you tell them?

Why don’t you compliment them and perhaps make their day a little brighter?
Why don’t you bring a little bit of joy and happiness into their day?

You absolutely love it when people come up and compliment you, right? Why wouldn’t it be the same for them?

Don’t be afraid. They would love it just like you would love it. Compliments are free to give, and like the saying, kindness should be thrown around like confetti.

Remember, “Kind words don’t cost much. Yet they accomplish much.” – Blaise Pascal.

No-one on this Earth feels that much genuine love, care, and heartfelt attention, that they can’t feel the effect of a few kind words. No-one is that much wholeheartedly and authentically loved that they don’t need any more kind words from anyone else. Not even celebrities who have masses of fans and are known far and wide. Never think for a minute that someone’s too famous to need any more loving.

There are these beautiful lines from The Fault in Our Stars which captures this so perfectly…
“She didn’t want a million admirers, she just wanted one. And she got it. Maybe she wasn’t loved widely, but she was loved deeply. And isn’t that more than most of us get?”
 – “The Fault in Our Stars” film, 2014 (novel by John Green)

Deep inside, everyone has a heart capable of loving and feeling loved. Everyone’s presence deserves to be valued.

If you desire for people to compliment you, then you must compliment others too; not because they complimented you first but because you truly mean it from the bottom of your heart.

Go and compliment one person today. It might just make their day.

Happy Motivation Monday!
